Appeal after robber snatched an elderly woman's purse out of her bag in Chesterfield

The elderly woman was walking along Rose Hill when she was approached from behind by a man who reached into her bag and took her purse at about 11.15am on Wednesday, September 23.
He then ran off down Soresby Street towards the Market Place.

Hide AdThe 74-year-old described the robber as white, very slim and in his early 20s, with short, dark hair, a pointy nose, and wore a navy blue jacket and dark trousers.
Officers are urging witnesses who saw the robbery to contact them by calling 101 and quoting reference number 20*500506.
