Appeal after man 'assaulted by men in hoodies' who 'broke into' his Derbyshire home

Police are appealing for information after a man was allegedly assaulted, and his home broken in to, in Derbyshire.

The incident is thought to have happened between around 9.25am and 9.40am on Sunday, October 18 at a house on George Street in Alfreton.

A man has reported that he went downstairs in his home after hearing a noise and saw two men wearing hoodies standig in the doorway.

They allegedly hit the man and then left the property. Nothing was stolen from the house, police say.
