CRASH: Person trapped in Derbyshire collision

A person was left trapped in a car after a crash on a main Derbyshire road last night (February 15).

Emergency services were called to the Via Gellia Road in Bonsall at around 6.25pm last night after reports of the collision between two saloon cars.

Three casualties were involved in the collision - and one of these was left trapped inside the car.

Crews from Matlock and Wirksworth fire stations attended the collision and got the trapped passenger out of the vehicle.

The ambulance heart team, paramedics and an ambulance attended the crash and all three casualties were left in their hands.

At least one person was taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre.

Police also attended the incident.
