Councillor admits he 'saw red' and assualted teenager
Wayne Lilleyman, who was a councillor for north east Derbyshire and Tupton, received a police caution after apparently biting an 18-year-old man on the nose at the Tupton Miners’ Welfare on Friday, July 8.
The man was taken to hospital.

Hide AdMr Lilleyman stepped down as a councillor on Monday, July 11, telling the Derbyshire Times that he “regretted” what happened.
“I have let myself down and the public down,” he said.
“ I regret what happened and I should not have done it. “I do apologise.”
“I admitted everything at the police station.
“I do not recall biting him but I did see red.”
He added: “I should not have assaulted him in the first place.”

Hide AdDerbyshire police said they were called to a disturbance at Tupton Miners’ Welfare just before 11pm on July 8.
A man was arrested on suspicion of assault, questioned and cautioned.
The victim sustained a minor injury.
A spokesman for North East Derbyshire District Council said: “Wayne Lilleyman has been a parish councillor since May 2011.
