Three of the apprentices Ashley Tinker, Darren Beale and Nicholas Knowles work in property services as a brick layer, and electrician and a plumber, Lucy Witty is an accountancy apprentice and Jon Pickering works in customer services and is completing a business administration NVQ.

Cllr Bisknell said: “Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of combining learning a profession and gaining qualifications with earning a salary and I’m delighted that local young people and the Council are benefitting from these opportunities.”
