Complaints spark free car parking
Parking charges at a Langley Mill car park have been suspended following concerns raised by local people and businesses about the impact of motorists parking on nearby streets, to avoid the charges.
The pay and display machine at Milnhay Road car park has been covered whilst Amber Valley Borough Council investigates “the most appropriate long term management arrangements”. The council said: “Residents can also apply for a residents parking permit, which allows free parking after 4pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday, or an over 60’s permit, which provides free parking after 2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
