Climber rescued by air amubulance after fall

A climber had to be airlifted to hospital after falling at Harborough Rocks on Sunday afternoon.

The ambulance service were called out at 2.45pm to the area, near Brassington, following reports that a male had been left with suspected broken ankle.

Derby Mountain Rescue also attended and assisted in locating the man and get him to the waiting helicopter on a specialist stretcher.

The man, in his 40s and from the Derby area, was administered pain relief by the helicopter’s doctor before being lifted to hospital.
