Climber hospitalised after fall at Stanage Edge

A spokesman for Edale Mountain Rescue Team said: “As it happened, many of the team were out on a training exercise nearby. This allowed us to respond rapidly.

Hide Ad“The climber was treated by medics from the Derbyshire Rutland and Leicester Air Ambulance, before being carried on the mountain rescue stretcher to the helicopter before transfer on the hospital.
“Many thanks to all the climbers who assisted in the stretcher carry over the boulder field - many hands make light work. Kit was packed away, and the team went back to the training exercise.”
