A child was involved in a car crash in the Chesterfield area this morning.

Firefighters attended the incident on Manor Road, Brimington, at around 9.20am.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The road traffic collision involved two vehicles.

“Fire crews made the vehicles safe.

“Nobody was trapped, and two adults and one child were in the hands of East Midlands Ambulance Service,” the spokesperson added.

No further information about the incident has been released at this stage.
