Chesterfield police launch football violence probe

Derbyshire police's Football Unit is appealing for witnesses to come forward following disorder outside the Proact Stadium, Chesterfield in October.

The incidents took place before and after the match between Chesterfield FC and Wrexham on Saturday, October 27.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was affected, involved or who witnessed the incidents.

Sgt Darren Belfield from the Football Unit said: “We are aware of an incident inside The Spireite pub before the fixture and also disorder on Sheffield Road after the game. We would like any members of the public that have any phone, dash cam or CCTV footage to get in touch.”
