The latest Chesterfield magistrates’ court results as published in the May 7 edition of the Derbyshire Times are listed below.

Theft

Craig Anthony Haynes, 30, of Avenue Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing chocolate and plasters. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Keeley Amanda Davidson, 35, of Creswell Road, Clowne. Pleaded guilty to stealing a box of wine. Community order to last until October 24 with a rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Admitted committing a further offence during a suspended sentence for an offence of theft. Order to continue.

Craig Daniel Kelly, 30, of No Fixed Abode. Pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of Baileys Irish Cream, a bottle of wine, a pack of sweets and a sandwich. Pleaded guilty to stealing four cans of Carlsberg Special Brew and a bottle of Coca Cola. Committed to prison for two months. Must pay £20.58 compensation and a courts charge of £150 and £9.34 compensation.

Simon Peter Furniss, 21, of Danby Avenue, Old Whittington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing an axe and entering a garden shed as a trespasser and stealing hacksaw blades. Community order to last until April 23, 2016, with a curfew for eight weeks and electronic monitoring and a thinking skills programme and rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £200 costs.

Brynn John Cartledge, 23, of Rutland Gate Close, Matlock. Found guilty of stealing a Toshiba TV. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with a 12 week curfew and supervision. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and a £150 court charge and £150 costs. Failed to surrender to custody. Fined £73.

Carley Elizabeth Jackson, 27, of Kirk Close, Ripley. Pleaded guilty to stealing confectionary. Fined £200 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Jude Parker, 18, of King Street, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of Disaronno. Fined £73 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Motoring

Martin John Hudson, 41, of Round Meadow Farm, Callow Lane, Wirksworth. Pleaded guilty to speeding. Fined £250 and must pay a £25 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points. Pleaded guilty to failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by a police officer. No separate penalty.

Paul Dennis Humphrey, 47, of New Street, Hilcote, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle in public namely the entrance to a footpath whilst unfit through drink. Fined £150 and must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with ten points.

Other

Joshua Thomas Middleman, 22, of Mansfield Road, Doe Lea, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour in public. Fined £167 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

William Terrence Paul Nellis, 44, of Gallery Lane, Holymoorside, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a door. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £100 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Steven Robert Owen, 46, of Amber Croft, Inkersall, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public. Fined £37 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Shane Anthony Facer, 33, of Arundel Close, Newbold, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to dishonestly undertaking or assisting in the retention, removal or realisation of stolen goods namely a Ford Fiesta. Community order to last until April 23, 2016, with supervision and 150 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £150 costs.

Brian James Boucher, 70, of No Fixed Abode. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public. Fined £73 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and a £150 court charge.

Stuart James Fearn, 27, of Westlands, Barrow Hill, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a door. Must pay £300 compensation.

Timothy Curgenven, 55, of Carrwood Road, Renishaw. Indicated a guilty plea to dishonestly failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances which would affect Employment Support Allowance namely that he was maintaining a common household with a woman. Indicated a guilty plea to four counts of having a view to obtaining Jobseekers Allowance by making a statement to the Department for Work and Pensions which was false namely that he failed to declare on making a claim that he was maintaining a common household with a woman. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Benjamin Michael Wain, 23, of Woodview Close, Wingerworth, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window valued at £150. Must pay £150 compensation.

Ashley Chad Wildsmith, 28, of Carter Lane East, South Normanton. Damaged a lawn mower and clothes drier. Community order to last until October 28, 2016, with an alcohol treatment requirement and rehabilitation activity requirement. Fined £37 and must pay £75 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Sally Chapman, 51, of Moorland View Road, Walton, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to failing to notify Chesterfield Borough Council of a change of circumstances affecting entitlement to housing benefit. Fined £106 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs. Pleaded guilty to failing to give notification about earned income which she knew would affect entitlement to a council tax reduction. No separate penalty.

Claire Tomlinson, 35, of Byron Road, Birdholme, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to providing a document for the Department for Work and Pensions which was false by falsely stating she had ceased employment. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Drugs

Carl Matthew Stevens, 26, of Compton Street, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing cocaine, a class A drug. Fined £197 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Aaron David Cross, 22, of Kestrel Road, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Indicated guilty plea to possessing 5.5g of cannabis. Fined £73 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

David Hope, 31, of Greendale Court, Dronfield. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing cocaine, a controlled class A drug. Fined £180 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Assault

Niall Andrew Gibson, 23, of Farm Lane, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £222 and must pay £50 compensation and a £22 victim surcharge and £300 costs. Restraining order to last until April 23, 2016. Pleaded guilty to damaging a door. Fined £164 and must pay £50 compensation.

Gary Peter Marriott, 39, of Overdale, Matlock. Found guilty of assault. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with supervision, a drug rehabilitation requirement and 60 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £150 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge and £500 costs.

Jamie Michael Cargill, 23, of Platt Street, Pinxton. Pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £82 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
