Assault

Angela Garbutt, 44, of Boythorpe Road, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police constable. Community order to last until August 13, 2016, with an activity requirement to attend Derbyshire Alcohol Advisory Service and to comply with a three-month curfew. Must also take part in a Focus on Violence programme and to comply with a rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay £100 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Daniel James Walsh, 25, of Cordwell Avenue, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of assault which was subject to the community order. Committed to prison for ten weeks suspended for 12 months with supervision and a four-week curfew.

James Naveed Mellor, 19, of Booth Street, Ripley. Pleaded guilty to assault. Fined £180 and must pay £100 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and a £150 court charge.

Saffron Briony Wayland, 26, of Nolston House, Matlock. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing methylmethcathinone, a controlled class B drug. Fined £37 and must pay a court charge of £180. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a special constable in the execution of her duty. Must pay compensation of £50. Pleaded guilty to resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty. Community order to last until February 16, 2016, with a rehabilitation activity requirement.

Henry James Jonathan Browne, 18, of George Street, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Community order to last until February 17, 2017, with a 12-week curfew and must participate in a Resolve programme and undertake a rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay £100 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Megan Marie Heslop, 18, of Melbourne Court, Duke Street, Staveley. Pleaded guilty to assault. Committed to detention for 14 weeks suspended for 18 months with supervision and a rehabilitation activity requirement. Must pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and a £150 court charge. Pleaded guilty to damaging a flat door. No separate penalty.

Hayden Jay Goucher, 23, of Salisbury Avenue, Chesterfield. Being a person who had been sentenced to three months of imprisonment or more but less than three years, pleaded guilty to possessing ammunition namely three shotgun cartridges, before the expiration period of five years from the date of their release. Fined £99 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge, £150 costs and a £180 court charge.

Luke Evans, 32, of No Fixed Abode. Admitted failing to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to the community order of possessing cannabis, assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty, drove a vehicle knowing it had been taken without the consent of the owner, drove a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and drove a vehicle without insurance. Failed to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to the suspended sentence of stealing two Makita drills, a Remmington electric razor and two packets of Gillette Fusion blades curling tongs, and a shaver. Committed to prison for 12 weeks.

Stephen Wright, 31, of Gorse Valley Road, Hasland, Chesterfield. Admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order by attending a property when he was prohibited from doing so. Committed to prison for 14 days.

Ryan Anthony Brock, 23, of St Lawrence Road, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to phoning someone when he was prohibited from doing so by a restraining order. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £180 court charge. Commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence order for the offences of assault and criminal damage. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of assault and damaging a fence. Committed to prison for 12 weeks.

Spencer Helley, 24, of Wain Avenue, Chesterfield. Proved in his absence that he entered a train without having a valid ticket. Fined £400 and must pay £5.10 in compensation, a £40 victim surcharge and £135 costs and a £150 court charge.

Shinayde Strachan, 26, of Houfton Road, Bolsover. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing Ariel liquid fabric softener. Community order to last until February 16, 2016, with a drug rehabilitation requirement. Fined £37 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Carl Wayne England, 40, of Byron Avenue, Alfreton. Found guilty of stealing a jacket and keys. Committed to prison for 24 weeks suspended for 12 months with supervision and a thinking skills programme. Must pay £190 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £620 costs.

Daniel Barry John Beggs, 24, of Vaughan Place, Langwith Junction. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing a CCTV camera. Discharged conditionally for 12 months and must pay £80 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a £180 court charge.

Must pay £250 costs and a £180 court charge. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following a release from imprisonment. No separate penalty. Committed to prison for 22 weeks.

Paul Dennis Humphrey, 48, of New Street, Hilcote, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Community order to last until August 17, 2016, with a six-month curfew. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs and a court charge of £150. Disqualified from driving for 24 months.

Patricia Anne Burns, 51, of New Scott Street, Langwith. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Community order to last until August 17, 2016, with 120 hours of unpaid work.
