Chesterfield College celebrates achievements
Exemplary students, apprentices and employers were recognised at an award ceremony at Chesterfield College.
The ceremony celebrated the hard work, commitment and dedication of students and those who work with the college to ensure their current and future workforce has the skills they need.
Stuart Cutforth, principal at Chesterfield College said: “Our students and apprentices are all at different stages in their lives and have different aims and goals, but one thing they do have in common is their passion for learning and self-improvement and that is really something worth celebrating.”
Childcare student, Megan Talbot, 20 from Chesterfield won the student of the year competition. Her tutors nominated her because despite a difficult start and juggling the demands of studying with looking after a young child, she has shown resilience and dedication that has meant she has exceeded all expectations. Megan has been an ambassador for the college taking part in community events, volunteering projects and mentoring schemes.
