Chesterfield brothers launch new menswear store

Two Chesterfield brothers are to launch their own menswear shop this weekend - having been chosen as the only stockists outside London to sell a top designer's clothes.

George and Joe Ward are holding a special launch weekend to celebrate the opening of Weekend Menswear on Stephenson Place (opposite the Rutland pub).

The pair are no strangers to business, having worked for their dad’s retail company for many years.

George has also studied business at Chesterfield College and both have always had a passion for fashion.

And their business skills and fashion knowledge have paid off with them securing a deal with up-and-coming tailored suit designer Joshua Kane, who is well-known throughout Europe for his styles, which are popular with footballers and fashion conscious celebrities from McFly’s Dougie Poynter to Portugese footballer Raul Meireles.

Other stockists will include Hackett, 7 for all Mankind and local clothing manufacturers Smedley’s.
