Charity funds raised forair ambulance service

A charity calendar featuring bus drivers in their birthday suits has proved such a success that more are being printed to keep up with demand.

Staff from Heanor based bus firm Trentbarton stripped off for the cheeky charity calendar to raise money for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Trentbarton sold around 1,000 of the calendars with proceeds going tothe firm’s adopted charity for 2015.

In total, 30 staff volunteered to strip off for a daring photo shoot, with drivers and office staff used oversized MANGO smart cards, tyres, folders, and bus parts to preserve their modesty.

Drivers from the Mansfield Road depot, Aana Jones, Steve Evans and Kev Wood were just a few to strip off.

The calendar shows staff in a variety of different work ernvironments including driving, washing vehicles and putting in petrol.

Alex Hornby, Trentbarton marketing and communications director said: “This is yet another example of an excellent fundraising effort, driven by our staff.

“They are always prepared to do something daring to raise money for a worthy cause.

“The idea for the calendar came from them, and we are delighted it’s proving so popular.”

Available from trentbarton shops in Derby bus station, Victoria and Broadmarsh shopping centres in Nottingham and the firm’s depots at Sutton and Langley Mill, the price of the calendar has been reduced to £4.99 while stocks last.
