Casualty suffers burn injuries after greenhouse fire

A male casualty suffered burns to a leg in Dronfield and had to be taken to hospital after a fire at a greenhouse.

The fire erupted at the wooden greenhouse, on Eckington Road, Coal Aston, Dronfield, about 8.30pm, on Friday, June 6.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The fire involved ten metres of hedge row, a kerosene tank and a wooden greenhouse.”

An ambulance was called out to help the casualty and he was taken to hospital.

Fire crews from Dronfield extinguished the fire and made the area safe by about 9.40pm, on Friday, June 6.
