The Peak Hotel, situated on How Lane, reopened on October 24 after being closed for several weeks for the refurbishment to take place.

This new look has updated the pub while preserving the traditional atmosphere with more antique-style furniture, a new signage scheme and an open fire.

Licensee Rick Ellison is delighted with the changes and stressed the importance of looking after a pub.

He said: “I have been in the trade since the age of 16 so I care a lot about pubs and the way they are run.

“Too many pubs are closing these days and I believe that the way a pub is run, the customer service and its retail standards are key to its success.”

The Peak Hotel offers a great range of homemade food, a good selection of Cask Ales and craft beers as well as an impressive range of fine whiskies.

The refurbishment was funded by Rick and owner Punch Taverns.
