Car crashed into telegraph pole in Derbyshire town

Witnesses are being sought by police after a car crashed into a fence and telegraph pole, with the driver and passengers running off.

Officers were called to Foxstone Way shortly before 2.30pm on Thursday, June 2.

The driver and three passengers ran from the green Renault Clio and made off towards High Street.

A 15-year-old youth, from Sheffield, was detained in Eckington later in the afternoon. He was questioned and released on police bail.
