Car and lorry involved in crash on Dronfield bypass

Emergency services rushed to a crash on the A61 Dronfield bypass in Chesterfield this afternoon.

Firefighters from Staveley and Dronfield were called to the incident at around 3.15pm.

The crash involved a car and a lorry on the southbound carriageway, according to a spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The spokesperson added: “Three people were released from the vehicle.

“They were left in the care of East Midlands Ambulance Service.”

No further information has been released about the incident.
