Fire investigators have been able to determine that the blaze was caused by an electrical fault.

Officers from Derbyshire Constabulary are now making further enquiries into the cannabis grow which was found inside the fire-damaged property.

Witnesses have also praised a man who reportedly ‘kicked down the doors’ and went inside the houses along Newbold Road to check if people were inside.
