Buxton man damaged girlfriend’s Wii

A Buxton man damaged his girlfriend’s tablet and games console and hid them at his mum’s house, a court heard.

Anthony Keirle admitted a charge of criminal damage and was sentenced to a conditional discharge at High Peak Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old, of Fairfield Road, was ordered to pay £200 compensation to Jennifer Le Page for damaging her CNM tablet and Nintendo Wii on March 1 last year at their shared home in Tintwistle.

He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
