Brimington Surgery proves it cares
The accolade is given to care services which can prove that all their staff respect people’s dignity.

Hide AdThe surgery had to submit a detailed application which was then assessed by a panel of professionals in the field of health and social care.
Julie Rutter, practice manager, said “This award is the result of a great team effort and recognises the dedication of everyone here in treating all our patients with dignity and respect.
“We are delighted to be the first practice in the area to achieve this award.”

Hide AdThe award was recognised during the practice’s recent Care Quality Commission inspection.
It gave the surgery an ‘outstanding’ rating in the category for caring.
Dr Emma Fordham, dignity champion for the practice, said “We are extremely proud of this recent award which has been achieved through the commitment and hard work of all of our team at Brimington Surgery.

To achieve the Derbyshire Dignity Award, care services must prove their staff follow ten values and actions, including:
• Supporting people with the same respect they would want for themsleves or a member of their family
