Bradwell pupils learn about anti-social behaviour impact

Pupils at a school in Bradwell have been learning all about the negative impacts of anti-social behaviour following a visit from their local Safer Neighbourhood officer.

PCSO Anthony Boswell visited youngsters at Bradwell Junior School to chat to them about what anti-social behaviour is and the effects that this can have on local residents.

During the visit on Thursday, February 5, the Class 2 pupils also learnt about the powers that police have to tackle the issue and the consequences for those involved in nuisance behaviour and crime.

PCSO Anthony Boswell from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Regular visits into schools are really important in helping to maintain a positive relationship between the youngsters and police.

“Anti-social behaviour can really have an effect on residents in the community so these talks are a fantastic way for us to speak to the children at an early age about the issue.

“All in all it was a really successful day and was well received by the children.”
