A Bolsover woman marked her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends.
Hilda Ingham celebrated the milestone at Thomas College Care Home on Friday, November 16.
The centenarian has lived in the Bolsover area most of her life.
Aged 21, Hilda joined the RAF and spent four years in service until she got married in 1942.
Hilda has five children- Bryan, Jill, Bernard, Lee and Pamela.
She previously worked at Prew Smiths Courtaulds factory until she retired at 60.
Hilda has never liked ‘just sitting around’ and worked every weekend at a hairdressers until she was 83.
She also has ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
