Body of man found at Grangewood home

The body of man in his 20s was found by police in Grangewood last night.

Officers discovered the man’s body at a house in Brichwood Crescent on Wednesday (August 3).

A file is being prepared for the coroner.

Derbyshire police have said his death is not suspicious and is in no way connected to the death of Darren Broadbent, aged 35, whose body was found at a house at nearby Thorntree Court, Grangewood, on Monday (August 1) at 8.40am.

A woman aged 44 and two men aged 18 and 36 have been arrested in connection with Mr Broadbent’s death. They remain in custody and are being questioned.

Police are still investigating the circumstances around his death and are trying to trace other people in connection with the inquiry.

Superintendent Jim Allen said: “I would like to reassure the public of Grangewood that we are working hard to establish the full circumstances of Mr Broadbent’s death and this inquiry continues at a pace.

“Nothing about his death leads me to believe that other members of the public are at risk.”
