Ben Nevis challenge
One Wirksworth resident is to take on a mountainous challenge in a bid to raise funds for local good causes.
Adam Parker, who coaches and manages the Wirksworth Colts u11’s football team, has decided to tackle the challenge of Ben Nevis to help raise money for junior footballers and Middleton by Wirksworth wrestling club.
Adam said: “I played football for the colts when I was younger and have been a coach and manager for nine years. I was chatting to some friends one night and decided to undertake a personal challenge and at the same time help raise money for two local organisations.”
The Ben Nevis challenge takes place on Friday, May 10, and there is a sponsor sheet at the Lime Kiln, Wirksworth, for any generous sponsors.
