BAKEWELL: Police name 13 bends crash victim

Police have named a woman who died following a crash on the A619 road between Baslow and Bakewell.

Christine Gilman, 60, of Rowland, Bakewell, was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van on the stretch of road, known locally as the 13 bends, at about 5.30pm on Tuesday.

She was taken to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield where she sadly later died.

The two male occupants of the transit van suffered minor injuries.

Police said an investigation will be carried out.

Witnesses should call police on 101.
