The walk, on Saturday 13th June, will meander between the Wye and Derwent valleys and cover both the Chatsworth and Haddon estates.

This year there is an option to walk a new shorter five mile route, as well as the 10 mile and 20 mile options.

The shorter route will be open to families and the age limit for the 10 and 20 mile routes has been lowered to 14, so it’s a day the whole family can enjoy together.

Lucy Johnston, UK Walks events manager for Breast Cancer Care says: “This year we need over 750 participants to join us at the Bakewell Ribbonwalk to help smash our target of over £193,000.

“Every year nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK so we really need Derbyshire residents to sign up to take part in 2015.”

Participants will be asked to raise £100 in sponsorship to help fund Breast Cancer Care’s specialist services which help people live with, through and beyond breast cancer.

“It costs just £30 to register to take part and £15 for under 18s, and you will also receive free entry to the venue grounds.”

Every participant will receive an event pack with details, a pink ribbon to write a personal message on, a Pink Ribbonwalk T-shirt, medal and certificate.
