Bakewell clothing store ram-raided

Police are appealing for information after three men ram-raided a Bakewell shop and stole clothes valued at several thousand pounds.

At about 2.30am today (Monday) thieves used a van – thought to be a Ford Transit – to smash the doors open at Brocklehursts clothing store in Bridge Street, Bakewell.

Once inside, crooks stole all coats from two racks – valued at “several thousands of pounds,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
