AUDIO: Police interview with convicted fire death murderer Peter Eyre

Eyre, 44, and two of his sons, 24-year-old Simon and Anthony 22, were convicted at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday of the murders of two teenagers and a baby in a flat fire.

During the short recording, Peter Eyre can be heard answering ‘no comment’ to questions put to him by detectives after his arrest on suspicion of murder last summer.

Amy Smith, 17, her six-and-a-half-month-old daughter Ruby-Grace Gaunt and friend Edward Green, 17, from Belper, all died in the blaze on North Street, Langley Mill, on June 21.

Their killers will be sentenced tomorrow (Friday).
