Ashover sparkles this Christmas time
Santa Claus took time out of his busy schedule to watch a village’s festive lights being switched on at the weekend.
The main road in Ashover was closed as villagers flocked to see the lights on the Christmas tree outside the Bassett Rooms turned on. Ashover resident Jimmy Carline did the honours.
The celebration included Christmas songs by Ashover Primary School and the Celebration Choir and music for carol singing played by Ashover Brass Band.
