A Dales husband and wife are to launch a brand-new app to help people understand musical theory.
Mark and Jo Percival, of Matlock, are launching the ‘Playpad’ app on Saturday, February 9, in a bid to make learning music more accessible for everybody.
Jo said: “Playpad is not so much a teaching method as an ingeniously simple device that can be adapted to many different methods. An easy pull-out menu allows you to change key signatures so brass and woodwind players can get involved. You can also change the basic piano timbre to guitar or organ or strings and record what you have just played.”
