AMBERGATE: Man’s body found in water
A MAN’S body was spotted in a waterway by a passing walker.
The man was discovered at around 10.30am in a steep-sided waterway in Ambergate, near to the former Bridon wire-spinning works.
Derby Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist Derbyshire police.
The man, aged 50 and from the Denby area, has not yet been formally identified but his death is not being treated as suspicious.
An inquest into his death will open on Tuesday.
