Alfreton man jailed for harassing ex-partner
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Wednesday, March 11, how Jonathan Alletson, 30, of Greenhill Lane, Riddings, Alfreton, harassed his ex after he became concerned about their son who had developed chickenpox.
Prosecuting solicitor Peter Bethany said: “The couple had been in a relationship for five years and they have split up numerous times. She said he’s verbally aggressive and paranoid and he follows her and phones and texts accusing her of being with other men.”

Hide AdAlletson pleaded guilty to harassing his ex-partner by visiting her home address three times, phoning 161 times and sending her 80 texts between March 8 and 9.
Mr Bethany explained Alletson’s partner had received texts and phone calls and he had been banging on windows before knocking on the door, shouting and swearing.
Alletson’s ex stated that she saw the door buckling and she called the police.
The defendant told police he had taken amphetamine and he had been concerned about his poorly son and admitted kicking the door, phoning and texting.

Hide AdDefence solicitor Asif Manir said Alletson was concerned about his son but had buried his head in the sand and taken amphetamines and had become paranoid.
Alletson also pleaded guilty to damaging a door, and following a shoplifting incident on March 4 he also admitted stealing toilet rolls and washing powder.
Magistrates also ordered Alletson to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £80 compensation.
