2015 set to be ‘one of the warmest on record’
The Met Office said a number of factors – including increased greenhouse gas emissions – are likely to create record-breaking temperatures.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “It is very likely that 2015 will be one of the warmest years in a series dating back to 1880.

Hide Ad“The potential increase in global mean temperature in 2015 is expected to be based on the ongoing warmth of the tropical Pacific Ocean, the warmth of the Arctic, weak El Nino conditions and the ongoing increase in greenhouse gas concentrations.
“These factors are similar to those that contributed to 2014 being one of the warmest on record.”
