The Christmas lights have already been switched on at Meadowhall ready for shoppers to return

Take a look inside Meadowhall as stores prepare to reopen for Christmas shopping

Meadowhall is ready to welcome back shoppers when the national lockdown ends on Wednesday, December 2.

The Christmas lights have been switched on, there are new rules and safety measures in place and opening hours have been extended to cope with the expected demand.

The centre’s managers have issued advice to visitors ahead of the reopening of non-essential stores, with shoppers reminded to wear face masks, follow the new one-way system and avoid the busiest times, with queues possible.

These photos show how the popular shopping centre looks before the majority of stores reopen to customers on Wednesday morning.
