Celebrate the season in style - Derbyshire’s boutique fashion collection
There’s something so personal and elegant about boutique shopping. I feel like I’ve been let into a beautiful little secret when I discover a goodie and there’s always a trinket or treasure to be found.
Here’s a round-up of my favourite finds from across Derbyshire. ..

5. David Nieper Boutique - Alfreton
Dressing Derbyshire since 1961, David Nieper has a long history in the region and has dressed the likes of Johanna Lumley – need I say more? I love what they do for the community with their academy, and I first became familiar with the brand during my tenure on board the QE2 in Dubai. They did a televised fashion shoot, and I was delighted to hear they’d opened a boutique. Not just a shopping experience, but with the option to have lunch or a cream tea. It’s cute, Instagramable and a lovely afternoon treat. Visit: Saulgrove House, Alfreton, DE55 7LE. Tel: 01773 83 6000 Photo: Submitted

6. Chic – Ashbourne
I was happy to stumble upon this little find. Jumpers are my favourite thing and they have such a beautiful and brightly coloured collection. I glammed mine up with their blue Katie Loxton London clutch and it was perfect for a posh Sunday roast in the pub. It’s a women’s fashion boutique. Visit: 10 The Market Place DE61ES Ashbourne. 7. Young Ideas
This is a high-end unisex store featuring distinctive Bohemian fashion and names including Boss, Paul Smith, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Jimmy Choo. Whilst not personally a fan of designer clothes, I love that they have some of my favourite smellies including L’occitane and Neom all under one quaint little roof. Great for Christmas presents and they also do online delivery. Visit: 10 St. John Street, Ashbourne, DE6 1GH. Tel: 01335 342095 Photo: Submitted
