They will be honouring Peter’s previous work in Joy Division, when they play the group’s classic albums, Unknown Pleasures and Closer.

Running through the albums in track order, Unknown Pleasures, sees The Light start with Disorder and follow up with Insight, New Dawn Fades and She’s Lost Control before finishing the album’s performance with I Remember Nothing.

The Light will then turn to Closer, which creates a haunting, austere atmosphere and whose emotive content was described by critics as ‘start to finish masterpiece, a flawless encapsulation of everything the group sought to achieve.’

Peter Hook and The Light perform at The Foundry in Sheffield on Friday, July 29.

Tickets are priced at £22.50. To book, contact the website www.peterhook.co.uk/#/events/2016/07/29/the-foundry-sheffield
