Derbyshire and the Peak District are perfect to visit over the autumn months - with amazing spots to explore in each corner of the county.
These places need to feature at the top of your list if you’re planning a trip over the coming weeks - is there anywhere else that you think should feature in this list?

1. Edale
Edale is the starting point of the Pennine Way, a trail that stretches for 268 miles between the Peak District National Park and Scotland. The village is a perfect base from which to explore some of the Peak District’s most popular hikes - including Kinder Scout and Mam Tor.

2. Buxton Country Park
Why not visit Buxton Country Park over the coming weeks, which is also home to the spectacular Pooles Cavern?

3. Curbar Edge
Curbar Edge is just a short drive from Chesterfield - and offers amazing views over the Hope Valley.

4. Castleton
Castleton is home to a number of quirky attractions. Blue John Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern are the only places where the rare mineral Blue John can be found, while Speedwell Cavern offers unique boat tours. The Peak Cavern can be found deep in the gorge below Peveril Castle at Castleton - and is known colloquially as the Devil’s Arse.
