The Peak District is home to a number of remarkable places, and as someone who lives on the edge of the national park and has spent plenty of time exploring the area, these are some of the very best to visit.
The list of spots that you need to explore over the autumn months can be found below – is there anywhere else that you think should be included?

1. Curbar Edge
The remarkable views across the Hope Valley from Curbar Edge are among the most spectacular that I’ve found across the Peak District - and you cannot miss visiting this beauty spot if you’re in the area over the coming weeks. Photo: RKH

2. Chatsworth Estate
Chatsworth House is one of the Peak District’s most recognisable landmarks - and there is plenty of natural beauty to be found across the sprawling estate. It certainly deserves its spot among the most picturesque parts of Derbyshire to explore this autumn. Photo: Brian Eyre

3. Hathersage
Hathersage is one of the most charming villages that I have visited in the Peak District - and it is perfect to explore this autumn. Photo: Phil Sproson Photography - Visit Peak District & Derbyshire

4. Monsal Trail
The Monsal Trail runs between Wye Dale and Bakewell, offering the chance to take in some beautiful scenery along the way - and it is among the best places that I’ve found for a Peak District walk. Photo: jason chadwick
