The average house price for every area in Chesterfield

House-hunters wondering where the most affluent – or cheapest – places to buy a home in Chesterfield are in luck.

The House of Commons Library recently published data revealing the median, or middle, house price for each area of the borough to provide an indicator of affordability.

The information shows a wide fluctuation in prices, starting from £120,000 in New Whittington, Hollingwood and Barrow Hill up to £255,000 in Brookside and Walton.

Here are the median prices for homes from September 2020, when the Chesterfield constituency average was £160,000.
