Completing the top three was Bishopthorpe Road in Quarndon where houses have sold for an average price of £1.1 million in the last decade.

The list of Derbyshire’s most expensive roads has been compiled by house price valuation specialists Mouseprice, which is part of PropertyHeads, a property portal and social network.

It reflects average sold prices across the whole decade, going further than the yearly insight provided by the likes of Lloyds Bank and Zoopla.

Houses in Derbyshire sold for an average of £197,328 between 2010 and 2020, whilst there were five roads surpassing average sales of £1 million.

The 25 most expensive roads saw houses sell for an average of £954,000.

Ben Davis, founder and chief executive of PropertyHeads, said: “The 2010’s were one of the craziest periods on record for the housing market and will most likely be remembered for their high house prices.

"The impact has been felt up and down the country and our research into Derbyshire’s market serves as evidence of that.
