Homeless people spur sleeping bags plea

A kind-hearted woman has launched a plea for 100 sleeping bags to keep homeless people warm at night.

Rebecca Hancock is a volunteer with Church on the Bus which offers food, clothing and bedding for the homeless in Chesterfield and Matlock.

Her appeal was motivated by three people turning up to the bus asking for sleeping bags but only two were available.

Sleeping bags can be donated at St Thomas’s Church, Brampton, marked for the attention of Church on the Bus.
