The owners of a Derbyshire pub are set to expand by taking on another venue.

The team behind the Tom Said Micropub, located on Well Street in Ripley, have confirmed that they have take on Alfreton’s Prospect Street Micropub.

In a post on the Tom Said Micropub‘s Facebook page, a spokesperson said: “The cat is well and truly out of the bag now. We've taken over Prospect Street Micropub in Alfreton.

“We have also set up a new Facebook page for the new pub, so if anyone is following the original page unfollow that and give the new one a follow.

“The most asked question has been ‘when are you opening?’ Well, that is a tough question. We aren't far away at all. We have a couple of dodgy handpulls and a keg line not working to sort out. We have tried everything we can think of so we have called in some proper cellar people.

“The new glass washer is arriving tomorrow as well. These are all things we need in place before we can open.”

Those waiting for the pub to confirm its opening date were encouraged to like the venue’s new Facebook page here, which will be updated with any further information.
