After its cancellation last year due to COVID-19, Rail Ale Festival was back with a bang.

Fans flocked to the famous Barrow Hill Roundhouse to enjoy tain rides, live music and beer.

The event included gargantuan list of beers and ciders, as well as a stacked lineup of musicians and bands (headlined by none other than Craig Charles of Red Dwarf fame).

Alexa Stott marketing manager for Barrowhill Roundhouse said: “A huge Rail Ale thank you to everyone - we’re blown away by all your lovely messages and posts about Rail Ale 2021. It’s been an amazing three days and having the Roundhouse full of happy people making up for 18 months of not going out was fantastic.

"None of this could have happened without the great team behind the festival and our brilliant volunteers - thank you to our teams in the gatehouse, handing out glasses and programmes, the token team, the operations team on the trains, the general cleaning team and of course the bar staff!

"And the list of Rail Ale thank yous continues… to our sponsors, the ticket outlets, the musicians and bands, CAMRA, the food outlets and the brewers and hospitality venues who supported our trade day.”

The Roundhouse will re-open to the public on Saturday, September 25.
