Cinema Hire launched its What Out to Help Out scheme to support communities, offering the drive-in cinema experience free of charge to bosses of 50 venues across the East Midlands. The company’s drive-in cinema package for 125 cars would normally start at £3,500.

Its aim is to help businesses generate much needed extra income for their venue through food and drink sales, business sponsorship and add-ons such as a raffle as well as entice more customers with a night at the movies.

In return. Cinema Hire donates £150 of box office takings to the venue and use the remainder of the proceeds of ticket sales to cover its costs.

The hire company provides all the equipment, including projector, PA and popcorn machine and sorts out the film licence.
