BAKEWELL: Baking festival organisers seek volunteers

Would you like to help out at a new festival which will put a Derbyshire Dales town on the world map?

Organisers of the pioneering Bakewell Baking Festival - the first of its kind in the world - are looking for volunteers for the event which takes over the town on the weekend of June 8 and 9 this year.

The festival will include demonstrations by celebrity bakers Stacie Stewart and Edd Kimber, a Pride and Prejudice themed custard pie fight, a Mad Hatters tea party for the kids, food stalls, vintage bus rides and afternoon teas in the church.
