Stunning pictures reveal the drowned villages of the Peak District which were submerged to make way for Ladybower Reservoir

There were churches, pubs, farms, schools and homes and a proper community but the village of Ashopton is no more after being evacuated and then flooded to build the Ladybower Reservoir.

We remember the forgotten village with these archive pictures which show what the place people called home looked like before the waters came in.
