Of course we couldn’t do a list with everyone who is famous who has lived in the shadow of the Crooked Spire, but here are some people you know – and some you may be surprised to know - lived or worked in our great town.
5. Olave Baden Powell

6. Sir John Hurt
John Hurt, originally from Chesterfield, died aged 77 but had a career that spanned decades before and was known to be people as Ollivander from Harry Potter, the War Doctor from Doctor Who. 7. James Hill
