Author Neil Anderson’s Dirty Stop Outs Guide to 1980s’ Chesterfield celebrated the town in an era dominated by nightclubs like the Aquarius, Moulin Rouge and the Adam & Eve.
The book, first published in 2013, has sold thousands of copies and led to further retro editions covering the 1960s, 1970s and 1990s, as well as a dedicated Aquarius edition and a range of merchandise, including Fusion, Brampton Mile and Hare & Greyhound T-shirts.

He said: “I’m asking fans of the town in the era to raid their photo albums and send him me pictures to be considered for inclusion.”
Steve Norris, former drummer for 1980s’ punk bands the Corpse and Criminal Sex had the idea for the follow-up and was one of the first to submit some photographs.
He said: “Everyone that I’ve spoken to thinks it’s such a brilliant idea.

“It was such a vibrant scene, especially with nights like Gotham City and pubs like the White Swan with their regular live band nights.”
Neil hopes to launch the book in the summer. If you have any photos and memorabilia please email [email protected]
